We already knew that Taylor Swift draws a lot of inspiration (perhaps too much!) from her love life. But ever wonder which women in rock history have also made her tick?

In the clip above, the country superstar discusses how she was influenced by Melissa Etheridge and other female musicians in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum’s Women Who Rock: Vison, Passion, Power exhibit (debuting at the Cleveland site May 13). Showcasing everyone from Billie Holiday to Swift and Lady Gaga, the exhibit will fill two floors of the museum with never-before-seen artifacts and stories from over 60 of music’s leading ladies.

Taylor Swift, Julianne Hough Return to Maxim’s Hot 100 List

What do country darlings Taylor Swift and Julianne Hough have in common with the newly-minted Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, actress Megan Fox and model Bar Rafael? Their good looks have earned them all a spot on Maxim’s Hot 100 list for 2011.

Taylor is the highest country star on the countdown, coming in at No. 20, while Julianne claims the 48th slot. Actress and model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is Maxim’s No. 1 hottie, followed by actress and model Olivia Munn at No. 2 and singer Katy Perry rounding out the top three.

Other beauties on the list include Miley Cyrus, Lindsay Lohan, Natalie Portman,Kim Kardashian, Vanessa Hudgens, Nicki Minaj, Whitney Port and Erin Andrews.

Taylor and Julianne have appeared on Maxim’s annual Hot 100 list the last four years in a row. This year, Taylor jumped 11 positions, from landing at No. 31 last year, while Julianne fell three spots from her previous ranking at No. 45. The blond beauties also joined actress Gwyneth Paltrow, as well as Carrie Underwood,Shania Twain, Miranda Lambert and Kellie Pickler on Maxim’s ranking of Hottest Women of Country Music earlier this year.

Taylor kicks off the United States leg of her Speak Now tour at the end of this month, when she performs in Omaha, Neb. on May 27. She will also close the show at Nashville’s CMA Music Fest on June 12. Keep track of her tour schedule here.

The 21-year-old country cutie, who stepped out at the MET Ball later that night, chatted with The Morning Mash Up.

Taylor will also be the closing performance at 2011 CMA Music Festival on Sunday, June 12th in nashville.

The current issue of People magazine has a sneak peek picture of the “Mean” music video which will premiere on CMT this Friday! . As you can see, Taylor is playing the damsel in distress and according to the article, Jonathan Smith is also going to be featured in the music video. The outfit Taylor’s wearing looks exactly the same as the one on the “Mean” single cover. We love the vintage vibe for this video, it looks promising!
